About Us
We are the local Ukrainian Greek Catholic Parish for the city of Lethbridge  & Southern Alberta.  Our mission is to preach, celebrate and live out the Gospel values, that were taught by our Lord Jesus Christ, for the sake of the building up of the Kingdom and for the salvation of all people.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav
Patriarch of Kyiv-Halych
Head & Father of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

Our Christian heritage comes from the Christian East.  Our Church is part of the Catholic Church Communion which is made up of more than 20 Sister Churches.  Our Sister Catholic Churches include the Roman Catholic Church, the Slovak Catholic Church, the Maronite Church, the Melkite Catholic Church, the Armenian Catholic Church and the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church (and several others throughout the world).

Each of the Catholic Churches, though they celebrate and practice their own unique Liturgical, Spiritual, Theological and Canonical traditions, nonetheless share a common ancient Christian faith, live a Christian sacramental life, and are united with one another, most especially in the Holy Mystery of the Eucharist.  Diversity in Unity.

Our parish follows the Ukrainian-Greek Rite.  This Rite has its roots in Kyiv and Halych (Ruthenia/Ukraine; Ancient Kyivan-Rus).  The Christian faith reached Kyiv from Jerusalem by way of Antioch, Alexandria and Constantinople.

Ss Peter & Paul Parish in Lethbridge, Alberta, was established in 1920.  Ss Peter & Paul Parish is a parish within the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton.  Bishop David Motiuk is our eparch.  For further information about the Edmonton Eparchy please visit their website:

Please feel free to explore our community website, learn about our Catholic faith and spirituality, and see what our parish has to offer. Then after you explore our community on-line, we invite you to come and see for yourself.

We know that we are far from perfect, but we are quite friendly (if we do say so ourselves), and we are committed to helping one another grow closer to God. We welcome you to join us on our spiritual journey into Christ.
