Seong Tae Kim

I am Ph. D. candidate (advised by Prof. Yong Man Ro) at KAIST IVY (Image and Video sYstems) Lab., Daejeon, South Korea. I received the B.S. degree from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2012 and the M.S. degree from KAIST, Daejeon, South Korea, in 2014. In 2015, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto in Toronto (advised by Prof. Konstantinos N. Plataniotis), Ontario, Canada. My research interests include machine learning, deep learning, medical image analysis, and biometrics. I'm a recipient of Robert F. Wagner All Conference Best Student Paper Finalists (2018) and Honorable Mentioned Poster Award (2015) from SPIE Medical Imaging, Samsung HumanTech Paper Award (2017), Best 10% Paper Award (2015) from IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, and Best Paper Award from Korea Multimedia Society (2012, 2016).
