Latest News - Champions on and off the Court (as of 1 Oct 2026)
Congratulations to the Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Boys Basketball Team on taking home the championship trophy at last Term's (T3 2026) Gala Day!
Competing against six strong teams throughout the day, the boys delivered an outstanding display of skill, determination and teamwork. Their campaign included a hard‑fought semi‑final against Marrickville, followed by an exciting grand final victory over Tempe, securing the championship by 17 points.
The team looked the part in their brand‑new uniforms, proudly funded by the Blackwattle Bay P&C as part of our commitment to supporting students representing the school at the highest level.
Made up entirely of Year 12 students, this tournament was a fitting and memorable final competition before the team heads to the Australian School Championships on the Gold Coast this November, under the leadership of Coach Pascoe.
Every player contributed to this remarkable achievement, and we wish the team the very best as they prepare to compete on the national stage.
Congratulations, boys — the entire school community is incredibly proud of you.
