Year of Establishment : 1956
In the year 1956 the Government of India to encourage agricultural sector had given permission to start 10 Agricultural Schools in the country under the National Council of Rural Higher Education (N.C.R.H.E.-Agri.). Our institution was one among them.
Aims of the Institute :
1. To Impart basic and technical knowledge about Agriculture. [which covers the fields of Agricultural Forming and its methods, Horticulture, Farm management, Agricultural Engineering, Food Processing, Types of Irrigation, Rural Economics, Animal husbandry, Co-operation including Agricultural legislation and Marketing, Seed Processing, Pest Control etc.]
2. To impart man-making education of Swami Vivekananda Combining modern scientific temper with spiritual wisdom, Patriotic zeal and feeling of national pride Promotion of Indian culture and tradition Propagation of Gandhian value: Simple living, high thinking Service as a way of life Dignity of labour Eradication of caste prejudices
