L. Srikar Muppirisetty received his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2005 from R.V.R& J.C College of Engineering, India. He received his M.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering with research specialization in 2009 from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He finished Licentiate, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, 2014, and 2017, respectively. During his Ph.D. studies, he was also a Research Intern with Bell Labs, Nokia (formerly Alcatel-Lucent), NJ, USA, in 2015. He was also a Visiting Scholar with The Ohio State University in 2014. He is currently developing software solutions for autonomous cars as a Machine/Deep Learning Specialist with Active Safety Department, Volvo Cars.
Prior to this, he has over 4 years of industrial experience in physical layer algorithm development for mobile terminals. From 2005-2007 he worked as Member of the Technical Staff at wireless systems division of Digibee Microsystems Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. During 2009-2012 he worked as a Senior System Software Engineer and as Technical Lead in simulation team at Ericsson (formerly ST-Ericsson) R&D center, Bangalore. He has mainly worked towards standardization of receiver performance figures for 3GPP GERAN Release 9 VAMOS feature.
