Dr. Spyridon Poulimenos (also known as Spyros) is a researcher/statistician; he is a v. lecturer at ESCP Business School (London). In addition, he has worked at other UK-based universities, including at University College London (UCL), University of Sheffield, and The University of Law Business School (ULBS). His alma mater is University College London (UCL). Spyros has also worked for Roche SpA as a statistical consultant and at the Greek HQ of HSBC. Furthermore, he has worked for the development of R-shiny web applications.
His academic research is focused on the area of Bayesian Methods in Health Economic Evaluation (published in scientific journals and the British newspaper "Independent").
Spyros is a lecturer in the fields of Statistics, Mathematics & Mathematical Finance, administrating and delivering lectures/tutorials/workshops for: Mathematical Finance, Statistics and Probability, Mathematics I. He has also delivered tutorials and demonstrations for other modules: Introduction to Probability & Statistics, Further Probability & Statistics, Introduction to Practical Statistics, Statistical Reasoning, Mathematical Investigation Skills, Quantitative Methods for Business. Moreover, he has also been an academic advisor and a tutor for undergraduate and postgraduate study groups and he has provided one-to-one tutoring for various modules.
Spyros has been awarded a fellowship (FHEA) from “Advance HE” as a recognition of his broadly based effectiveness in substantive teaching. Furthermore, he has received the GradStat award from the Royal Statistical Society. Sir Michael Arthur awarded and thanked Spyros for his teaching contribution to UCL.

Regarding his academic studies: Spyros has graduated first in his class with the highest GPA of all academic years (out of 144 students). He has received scholarships for each of the four years and further funding offers for graduate studies, where he also achieved similar grades. He has been elected president (and organiser of activities) of 750 students' accommodation and elected as student representative on three faculty committees.
