Sealed bids for the project entitled “Highway 221 Water and Sewer Improvements”, will be received by the Town of

Spindale on October 2, 2025, at 2:00pm local time at the following location:

Spindale House

119 Tanner Street

Spindale, North Carolina 28160

The proposed work is generally described as follows:

Construction of approximately 8,620 linear feet of 6-inch through 12-inch water main, 5,200 linear feet of 8-inch and

12-inch gravity sewer, 120 linear feet of 8-inch sewer force main, pump/electrical control panel upgrades to the

Highway 74 Liftstation, and all associated appurtenances required for successful project completion, as described in

the Specifications and shown of the project drawings.

All bidders must be registered with Odom Engineering; copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained through:

Electronic documents will be provided; however, there will be a non-refundable fee of $100.00 for each printed set of

documents obtained (payable to Odom Engineering). The Contract Documents may also be examined at Odom

Engineering PLLC in Forest City NC.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00pm on September 11, 2025, at the Spindale House noted above.

Attendance is encouraged but it is not mandatory.

The Owner(s) will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in preparation of its Bid.

A certified check or cashier’s check payable to Town of Spindale or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate

surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount equal to five percent of the total

of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required for this project.

The Town of Spindale reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to

disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids, or counterbids and to accept the bid that will be in the best interest of

the owner(s).
