Prof. Shing-Chow Chan (Homepage) :
Shing-Chow Chan (S’87 – M’92) received the B.Sc. (Eng) and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Hong Kong in 1986 and 1992, respectively. Since 1994, he has been with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the University of Hong Kong, where he is currently a professor. His research interests include fast transform algorithms, filter design and realization, multirate and biomedical signal processing, communications and array signal processing, high-speed A/D converter architecture, bioinformatics, smart grid and image-based rendering.
He is currently a member of the Digital Signal Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, and associate editors of Journal of Signal Processing Systems and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II. He was the chair of the IEEE Hong Kong Chapter of Signal Processing in 2000–2002, an organizing committee member of the 2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, the 2010 International Conference on Image Processing, and an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I from 2008 to 2009.
Dr. Chong Wang (Homepage):
Chong Wang (S'12-M‘14) received his B. Eng degree from Zhejiang University of Technology in 2007, M. Eng degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2010, and his Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2014. He was a research associate in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2014 to 2015. Since 2015, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Ningbo University, where he is now an associate professor. He was the founder member and corresponding secretary of IEEE HKN Lambda Iota Chapter at HKU (2012-2014). His main research interests are in depth camera assisted systems, gesture recognition, image and video restoration, image based rendering and parallel computing.
Mr. Zhong Liu:
Zhong Liu is currently working towards the MPhil degree in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Hong Kong, HK, China. He received the M.Eng. degree from Zhongyuan University of Technology, Zhengzhou, China, in 2013. Before that, he received the B.Eng. degree from Huaihai Institute of Technology, Lianyungang, China, in 2010. His research interests mainly include computer vision, human body tracking and gesture recognition.
