Our learning materials meet the approved code of practice as outlined by the health and safety executive and can be SVQ/NQ matched where needed or requested.The training team are all approved SVQ/NQ assessors and/or verifiers therefore compliance with national standards can be assured and assessed to support accreditation.

We currently provide a list of training below, however this is not exhaustive if you require something not listed we may be able to design a package for you.

Specific training offered

First aid,

• • ½ day Refreshers, practice sessions

  • ½ day first aid awareness

• 1 day, H&S at work,

• 2 day H&S Refresher (renew your certificate)

• 3 day full Health & Safety at Work

• Infant and child first aid

• AED (CPR & Defibrillation)

• Sports injuries

Child Protection

• • ½ - 1 day, Understanding and practical solutions to child protection procedures for managers

  • ½ - 1 day, Understanding and knowledge for staff to ensure procedures are implemented, SVQ/NQ knowledge evidence linked.

  • ½ - 1 day,Refreshers and updates

Positive Behaviour Support

• 1 day, Specific to age/needs of service

• 1-2 days, Understanding and awareness, SVQ/NQ knowledge linked

• 1-2 days, Advance behavior support including functional analysis and positive behaviour support strategies.

• 1 day, Autism Spectrum Disorder, awareness and practical supports.

  • ½ - 1 day, Communication training for staff, SVQ/NQ knowledge linked

Moving and Handling

• ½ -1 day, Awareness of hoist use and training for staff on safe handling H&S compliant.

• 1 - 2 day, advance safer practice training and environmental supports

Management Training

• 1-2 days, Strategic planning, organisational development

• 1-2 days, communication, support and staff development

• 1-2 days, problem solving and team working

• Employment best practice including DDA, ACAS, Human Rights, what to do when it all goes wrong!

• National Care Standards and how to ensure you understand and can plan to meet these.

• Specific requests can be met for different management levels
