Thank you for visiting my personal website. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management; Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar. My fields of research interest include empirical Political Economics (corruption and governance, political and institutional drivers of economic growth and development, public trust in institutions, elections and voting), Public Economics (taxation, public budgeting, politics of public finance), Law and Economics (economic analysis of law, economics of crime), Labour Economics, and Business Ethics.

Earlier, I was on the faculty at IIT Bhilai and IIM Amritsar, and have held academic positions at ICRIER, University of Zurich, and Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore. I have also had pre-doctoral stints at Institute of Economic Growth Delhi, erstwhile Planning Commission, and Tata Motors Limited, Mumbai (in chronological order). I have a Masters in Economics from University of Hyderabad, and a PhD in Economics (Thesis title: "Essays on Empirical Political Economics") from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I am also an alumnus of Bhadrak Autonomous College, Odisha. During my student days, I'd achieved state-level and university-level merit ranks, several scholarships and awards at different stages. I've been a member of editorial boards of a few journals, and a reviewer of several international peer-reviewed economics, political science, and social science journals. I am a Fellow of Global Labor Organization (GLO), Essen, Germany.
