Thank you for visiting my personal website. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management; Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar. My fields of research interest include empirical Political Economics (corruption and governance, political institutions, elections, political economy of public finance), Law and Economics (economics of crime, economic analysis of law), Public Economics & Policy (public finance, healthcare, public policy), Business Ethics, Labour Economics, and Development Economics. Over the years, I've taught an assortment of courses related to economics, management, and public policy, at UG and PG levels at various reputed institutions, both in regular and adjunct positions. 

Earlier, I was an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai and Indian Institute of Management Amritsar, and have held academic positions at Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), Chair of Political Economy & Development, University of Zurich (Switzerland), and Economic Analysis Unit, Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore. I have also had pre-doctoral stints at Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi, erstwhile Planning Commission, and Tata Motors Limited, Mumbai (in chronological order). I had studied economics at University of Hyderabad (Masters), and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (PhD Thesis title: "Essays on Empirical Political Economics"). During my student days, I'd achieved state-level top-ten and university-level merit ranks, several scholarships and awards at different stages. Google Scholar: here. 

Currently, I serve as an Associate Editor of Cogent Economics & Finance (section: development economics, publisher: Taylor & Francis), Journal of Public Affairs (publisher: Wiley), SN Business & Economics (subject area: public policy and institutional economics, publisher: Springer), and SN Social Sciences (subject area: education, development and social justice, publisher: Springer). Besides, I am also a Research Fellow, Global Labor Organization (GLO), Essen, Germany. I've been a reviewer of several international peer-reviewed economics, political science, and social science journals.
