Locker, Thomas and Joseph Bruchac. Between Earth and Sky. Legends of Native American Sacred Places. New York: Harcourt, Brace & Company, 1996. The book includes a poem “There Are Also Some Places” about the mound builders, and a wonderful map. Using this book is a great way to integrate ELA and social studies.
