SCOG’s BUSHDANCE IS BACK FOR SYDNEY GAY PRIDE

Thank you all for attending our MARDI GRAS BUSHDANCE in February and for showing interest in a mid year dance.

So here it is!

And for this special event we return to the PETERSHAM TOWN HALL, an old haunt that saw many a SCOG Bushdance in its early days.

150m from Petersham train station. Council car park across the road available (45 spaces).

Get set to meet old friends and make some new, cowboys and cowgirls all enjoying our live band The Sydney Coves.

The dances are “called” so you need not have any experience- most of us don't. Just turn up!

This event is BYO grog. You can purchase soft drinks at our bar.

Nearest bottle shop is Petersham Liquor Mart on New Canterbury Rd until 8.30pm. Or Oxford Tavern across the road from the hall for over the counter beer sales only.

CAN YOU HELP WITH THE FOLLOWING TASKS? contact Barry 0423 369 143 :

SHIFT 1- Pre dance duty

When: Day before bushdance

Time: Anytime a day or two before- estimated duration 2-3 hours.

Mission: Buy cabanossi, cheese, crackers, some soft drinks- Exact shopping list TBC

Preparing food-mostly chopping of cabanossi & cheese, distributing into plastic platters and covering

with glad wrap.

Responsible for delivery to dance venue on the Big Night

Human power: 2 people working together.

SHIFT 2- Venue Setup

When: On the Big Night

Time: 7pm to 8pm. 1 hour duration.

Mission: Arrange tables and chairs, set up banner, lights and props as required.

Human power: 3 people

SHIFT 3- Door Duty-1

When: On the Big Night

Time: 7pm to 10pm. 3 hour duration.

Mission: Assist with setup(1hr) -See above. Then 2 ppl checking tickets & 1 selling raffle tickets- Barry Webb & Frank

Espana will be assisting in both these roles

Human power: 3 people

SHIFT 3- Door Duty-2

When: On the Big Night

Time: 10pm to 1am. 3 hour duration.

Mission: 2 ppl checking tickets & selling raffle tickets until 11pm.Assist with breakdown from midnight till

1am(1hr) Barry Webb & Frank Espana will be assisting

Human power: 2 people

SHIFT 4- Bar Duty- 1

When: On the Big Night

Time: 7pm to 10pm. 3 hour duration.

Mission: Set up bar. Run bar. Barry Webb & Frank Espana will be assisting

Human power: 3 people

Special requirements: 1 x RSA certificate.

SHIFT 5- Bar Duty- 2

When: On the Big Night

Time: 10pm to 1am. 3 hour duration.

Mission: Run bar. Break down bar. Barry Webb & Frank Espana will be assisting

Human power: 3 people

Special requirements: 1 x RSA certificate.

SHIFT 6- Break Down Venue

When: On the Big Night

Time: 12pm to 1am. 1 hour duration.

Mission: Put away tables and chairs, remove banner, lights and props as required.

Human power: 4 people
