The SEBEA scholarship will be awarded to a student who will be student teaching in Spring of the current academic year or who plans to graduate in December of the following year and student teach in the fall. Only seniors majoring in business education who are enrolled or have completed Block III may apply. Applications (complete with all requirements) are due March 1. Forms and scoring criteria are below.
Written Criteria for Application and Selection of Candidates
Candidates must be currently working on their alternative certification in business education.
Candidates must apply electronically using the appropriate SEBEA online form and must submit (upload) a copy of the current transcript, resume, and letter of recommendation (PDFs in a shared Google drive folder).
The scholarship will be awarded when the candidate begins the semester of their alternative route to education.
Applicant must demonstrate leadership, character, seriousness of purpose, academic achievement, proven level of interest in business education, commitment through prior work experience and/or related accomplishments.
Applicant must provide:
College transcript (upload)
a letter from the current school administrator stating verification of your alternative route (uploaded)
an acceptance letter from the college that you will be attending with course of work (uploaded)
Resume (upload)
One letter of recommendation (upload)
Completed application form through Google
6. Applicant must be a current teacher in the SEBEA region.

If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, please follow up to ensure all materials were properly received.
Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed. Deadline for application is March 1 of the current year. Scholarship will be awarded at the SEBEA Spring meeting. Check will be made out to the student.
