Presidents Welcome
Welcome to the South Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals (SDASSP) website. It is my honor to serve as President of this great organization and to assist this organization in providing the resources needed for the continued success of the secondary principals of South Dakota. SDASSP’s primary purpose is to provide a voice for middle and high school principals, not just in the state of South Dakota but nationally as well. As a member of SDASSP, you are supported by region representatives on our executive board, two representatives on the School Administrators of South Dakota (SASD) executive board and by a state representative to the National Association of Secondary Principals (NASSP). In addition to providing you a voice, we also strive to provide the secondary principals of this great state with networking and professional development opportunities that will assist you in all facets of your position. Our largest opportunity for this occurs each summer at our state conference at the Deadwood Lodge.
As an organization, we are committed to your success, your students’ success, and your school’s success. Every day, your students rely on you to help them prepare for post-secondary learning and to be workforce ready. We are here to support you in this endeavor. Together we will ensure that every student in our schools has the skills they need to succeed in this ever-changing world.
