Teaching & Supervision

I teach across machine learning, data science and mathematical foundations, and supervise student research in medical image analysis. My approach connects conceptual understanding with reproducible experiments, careful evaluation and clear scientific communication.

Academic teaching

The University of Queensland
Teaching and tutoring in DATA7001, COMP3820 and ENGG7811, including four semesters as Head Tutor for DATA7001.

James Cook University, Brisbane — previous appointment
Sessional Lecturer in MA2011 Discrete Mathematics.

Kaplan Business School
Casual teaching in STAM4000.

IIIT Sri City and University of Hyderabad
Earlier teaching support in deep learning, machine learning, statistics, discrete mathematics, probability and R programming.

Research supervision

I supervise postgraduate and undergraduate research projects in medical imaging AI. Current supervision includes B.Tech Computer Science students developing a shared brain MRI lesion segmentation pipeline.

Projects emphasise data quality, preprocessing, reproducible training, meaningful baselines, lesion-level evaluation and failure analysis.
