I am Soumen Ghosh, a postdoctoral research fellow at the Cerebellum & Neurodegeneration Research Group (CNRG) at QIMR Berghofer. The group focuses on neuroimaging and behavioural assessment to study brain changes in degenerative neurological conditions, especially rare inherited movement disorders. Soumen's research will concentrate on multimodal brain MRI analysis and AI approaches for quantitative brain research. He completed his PhD in developing machine learning techniques for neuroimaging analysis for epilepsy research from The University of Queensland in 2024. He has a master’s in information technology from the University of Hyderabad, India. He has authored several articles and abstracts on machine learning, neuroimaging, and epilepsy. He presented his research at the American Epilepsy Society in December 2023 and at OHBM, Seoul, South Korea, in June 2024. He received the Springer Student Award 2017 at the International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence. His research interest is machine learning and neuroimage analysis.
