Short Bio & CV

Since November 2023, I have been an Assistant Professor in International Trade at WMG, University of Warwick.

Previously, I worked as an Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Labour at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (2020-2023), Research Economist in the Economics and Research Department at the National Bank of Belgium (2018-2020), Adjunct Lecturer for the UCLouvain-UNamur Master-level module "Trade Policy and International Cooperation" (Spring semesters 2019 and 2020) and FNRS Researcher in Economics (2012-2016) at the Université catholique de Louvain, Postdoctoral Teaching Associate in the Economics Department at Lancaster University Management School (2017-2018), and as Intern and Consultant in the Balance of Payments Section of the External Statistics Division at the European Central Bank (2010-2011)

I have also been External Collaborator with the Research Department of the International Labour Organisation (2016, 2021), Ph.D. Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Economic Performance (Globalisation/Trade Programme) at the London School of Economics (Lent and Summer Terms 2015), Visiting Researcher at the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London (Summer Term 2018), and Visiting Research Scholar at the Department of Economics at Columbia University (Summer and Fall Terms 2022 and Spring Term 2023).

I did my undergraduate studies in Computer Science with particular emphasis on the development of systems for their application in Economics, Finance, and Management at the University of Macedonia in Greece (B.Sc. Applied Informatics), and my postgraduate studies at the University of Southampton in the UK (M.Sc. Economics and Econometrics) and at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany (Advanced Studies Programme in International Economic Policy Research). In April 2016, I was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, having studied topics on International Trade and Labour Outcomes and International Trade and Organisation of Firms.
