Generative AI / LLMs 

Expectations: 

• Do not use AI in any capacity for collaborations involving me. 

• Do not use AI to write emails to me, or otherwise expect me to read AI writing. 

• Do not input anything I've created into AI. 

I view the impact of AI on mathematics, and in general, as negative; I have no desire to endorse it (even implicitly). If you won't take the time to write something, don't expect me to take the time to read it. 

In-person meetings

Expectations:

• Do not attend meetings while you are sick / have any symptoms. (Obviously excluding chronic conditions.) I can usually shift meetings to hybrid or virtual format on short notice.

• Wear a mask during the meeting. I prefer an N95 mask without an exhalation valve; but please choose a mask that is comfortable for you. I am happy to provide several free options, or you can bring your own mask. 

My chronic health issues as well as the experience with my first COVID infection mean that I will likely never work again if I catch COVID again. Rapid tests for COVID frequently produce false negatives, and there's still lots of COVID going around; so I will assume any acute infection has a chance of being COVID.
