I have started to collect here some of the Robert Story Obituaries I have been able to find...

The most significant was the Obituary that appeared in The Bradfordian of October 1, 1860.

This Obituary is signed 'I.J.' - this is John James, who edited the 1861 Lyrical and other minor poems, and and wrote the 'Life of Robert Story' for that book. Note that John James also uses the initials 'I.J.' for his Preface to that book.

In The Bradfordian a month later, November 1 1860, p 22, there appeared a little poem, 'In Memoriam Robert Story' by Eliza Craven Green - sweet and thoughtful, it lists Story's themes and successes. I have placed that page, as a pdf, below.
Eliza Craven Green is the author of the song, 'Ellan Vannin', the alternative Isle of Man National Anthem.
