Angela C. Whitehead is founder and president of Soil Horizons, LLC.
Angela C. Whitehead received her B.S. and M.S. in Crop and Soil Environmental Science from Virginia Tech. Her thesis research focused on the analysis and interpretation of soil characteristics within forested wetland mitigation sites. Ms. Whitehead gained experience as a soil scientist while mapping forest soils in the Piedmont and Coastal Plain regions of North Carolina and later working for an environmental consulting firm specializing in the feasibility, design, and monitoring of wetland mitigation sites.
Ms. Whitehead became a Professional Soil Scientist in 2001 and a Licensed Onsite Soil Evaluator in 2005. She is a past board member and chairman of the Virginia Board for Professional Soil Scientists, Wetland Professionals, and Geologists. She is also certified as an Nutrient Management Planner by Virginia’s Department of Conservation and Recreation.
