Chanel Ramirez

Chanel Ramirez is a senior at the City College of New York where she is pursing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. As a child, Chanel's interest in the biological sciences was evident. Her passion for the study of the mind quickly grew following her first Intro to Psychology course. It was Dr. Fertuck's Neurobiology and Mental Health class at the start of her junior year that inspired her to pursue a career in Neuroscience. While Chanel always knew she wanted a career in medicine, her coursework in biological psychology and experience working as a Research Assistant in Dr. Fertuck's SNAP Laboratory has compelled her to seek a more focused approach in Neuroscience. Her ultimate career goal is an MD-PhD Degree with a specialty in Neurosurgery.
