Idaho Bird net is a comprehensive online resource for birds and birding in Idaho.

Birding on the network offers information on birding in all parts of the country. From the home page, go to "Regional/Specialty" under "Mailing Lists" to read current Bird Conservation

If you are interested in bird conservation (We hope you are!) take a look at the file "North American Bird Conservation Initiative" in the "Downloadable Files" listing below. It is an informative and pleasingly formatted short bulletin about what needs attention, and how to get involved. You will be rewarded!

All About Birds is a website sponsored by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and provides information on bird species and birding skills.

Here's a website some young birdwatching friends in Texas told us about: It's called "Bump Reveal" and is a "Birding for Kids Resource Guide. This link will take you directly to that page: Birding for Kids! There's lots of information there, tailored to the next generation of bird enthusiasts.

---For a beautiful heart warming and wrenching image of the sagebrush we and our beloved sage grouse live in, find "The Sagebrush Sea", on line, which aired on Idaho Public TV in 2015. Here's a link: The Sagebrush-Sea on PBS. Make sure you have your ears on; the sound track is as spectacular as the visuals. This film is a game changer. PS: (September 2019). The Idaho Bird Inventory and Survey is a document produced by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game is a compendium of reports from field work on Idaho birds in 2014. The Inventory and Survey gives a good snapshot of the state of birds in Idaho and the level of commitment to conservation and management by a group of dedicated professionals.

The Bird Identification Brochure was designed as an easy guide with color pictures of some of the more common birds at Camas National Wildlife Reffuge--great for birding with kids.

The IF Birding Checklist 2018.pdf is a compilation of birds seen around Idaho Falls, with a key what time of year and how common they are here, a must have for visitors.
