Small Town Feline Friends is a kitten/cat rescue in Golden City, Mo. This is a small town surrounded by mostly other small towns. There is a cat population issue in the area without any local shelters/rescues to help. The cause of this issue is pet owners not being responsible enough to spay/neuter!! When pet owners do not spay/neuter more helpless fur babies are brought into the world. Most of them suffer and die because they are not properly cared for. These are the reasons I slowly started rescuing 5 years ago. It has grown more every year! It is my passion to save and rehome all the fur babies possible. This is not possible for most ferals due to the fact that they are so wild. In these cases, I do TNR, which is Trap, Neuter, & Return. I use live traps to trap feral cats in Golden City, get them spayed/neutered and release back to their home. This will help reduce the population and prevent sick suffering fur babies!! Small Town Feline Friends became a 501c nonprofit this year! I can start applying for grants to help with the expenses of this mission! Until grants can be obtained the majority of expenses come out of my own pocket or through fundraising/donations. Spring/Summer are busiest for rescuing. At this time, I have 10 rescues needing to find new indoor loving forever homes! These rescues can be seen on the Rescues page! Find Small Town Feline Friends on Facebook! And share with all your friends and family!!
