Study the phase transitions in novel strongly correlated electron systems (mainly first row transition metal oxides) and new materials to be used as the cathode of Li–ion batteries. I have tried to explore these systems both experimentally and theoretically. I have used Raman spectroscopy as main experimental tool to investigate these systems and first-principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) using VASP, WIEN, Quantum Espresso, BoltzTrap, FPLO, PHON and PHONON packages. I am very much interested to understand the various coupling phenomena between the lattice, magnetic and electronic degrees of freedom and their effects on the properties of the system.
