WHAT IS A SKETCHY PAINT PARTY???
The idea is to encourage ANYONE to try painting. Budding artists or Blossomed artists will enjoy the party and have a framed painting to take home. With step by step instruction with a GREAT INSTRUCTOR ( ME!) you really can complete a painting during our paint night! It is also a great way to spend an evening out with friends or meeting some new friends. The venues we choose can be a private home, an office party, or restaurants or vineyards that offer food and drink while you paint with your pals.
ALL of the supplies are provided. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY... REALLY!!!
I believe ART IS FOR EVERBODY!
The comedy is free, and You just show up, sip your drink and we will paint one step at a time! .....
Here is our "team" to help you have a GREAT PAINT NIGHT!
And here is proof we can complete a painting, and still be smiling at the end of the night!

What happens at a Sketchy Outing?
Keeping an art journal is becoming a very popular pastime. Travel art journals especially.
Most often they are completed "en-Pleine-Air"
Meaning you do the painting outside on site!
I organize get togethers here in the Oceanside Area so we can get together and "do" what we like to do
PAINT AND SKETCH!
Oh and then we usually go for lunch together.
ANYONE ... ANY SKILL LEVEL is welcome to join us
You can only improve if you go out and sketch and paint!

WATERCOLOUR PAINTING CLASSES
No experience class: (LEVEL 1) for those who have always wanted to paint or have painted but never used watercolour. This is a SKILLS CLASS….In addition to the class fee I offer a basic watercolour "kit" that will include ALL the product you need to do this 6 week class. You just show up and we have fun learning to paint! That way you can see if you want to continue on with watercolour or not and it isn't a huge investment.

Some experience class: (LEVEL 2) For those who still consider themselves beginners in using watercolour. We will build on the basic skills from the first class to create paintings, projects and subject matter in watercolour. More advanced skills and techniques will be incorporated to explore this magical medium.

learn to see the world through your sketch book. Visual story telling is useful for vacations or everyday experiences. Using collage, pens, Watercolour, markers...anything goes!
