GROUP RESEARCH

Our core research:-

(i) Natural products and their derivatives :- We work on natural products like noscapine and usnic acid and their semi synthetic derivatives as anti-viral/antibacterial/anticancer agents.

(ii) Sugar science :- Our group is working on rhamnose derivatives wherein the sugar moiety is attached to small molecules and tested as SGLT inhibitors.

(iii) Small molecule inhibitors :- We are also consistently working on synthesizing and testing many small molecule inhibitors containing thiazole/quinazole/quinoline/thiadiazole/etc as anti-tubercular and anti-viral agents.

Simultaneously we are also working towards synthesis of novel calix-pyrroles and calix-benzodipyrroles for ionic and molecular recognition in solution and gas phase and Photo labile compounds for Alzheimer's disease.

In addition to the above on going projects, our group also works towards industrial projects sponsored by different industries, projects fall under synthetic methodology, bulk synthesis, impurity profiling and method development using HPLC for quality detection.
