As a Research Assistant in Chungbuk National university, Cheongju, South Korea

  • Co-existence of DSRC and 5G for efficient vehicular connectivity to enhance the efficiency and safety of vehicles.

    • Using Cohda wireless Wave module and 4G module of LGU+ for connectivity and AWS IoT for cloud services.

  • Efficient adaptive contention window to reduce access collisions in safety data communication in VANET.

    • Implementation in Cohda wireless LLC layer to access and control all lower MAC parameters.

  • Forward collision warning (FCW), Lane change warning (LCW), Do not pass warning (DNPW) and Reduced speed zone warning (RSZW) applications in 3D road geometry.

    • Implemented in NS3 simulator in highway scenario.

    • Implemented in Commercial devices (Cohda Wireless) for Hyundai Autron Pvt. Ltd. Korea.

  • Developed the concept for multi-layer Local dynamic map (LDM) efficient implementation of digital map in South Korea in partnership with KATECH and Ministry of Land, Govt. of Korea.

    • Implemneted in Commercial devices (Cohda Wireless and Marben SDK) as well as NS3 simulator.

  • Protocols for TDMA MAC, scheduling and Routing for data gathering smart metering networks.

    • Proposed multi-channel TDMA MAC, scheduling and Routing protocols

    • Implemented them in NS3 simulator and TI’s MSP430F5438 MCU and CC1101 Wireless chipset and then in NXP's MKW01Z128 MCU.

  • Protocol for multi-channel multi-hop video sensor network (VSN)

    • Proposed a new routing protocol for VSN and impleted it using odroid boards and I&C USB Wi-Fi module in 802.11n.

  • Protocol for 802.11ah MAC to enhance the throughput for relay nodes

    • Proposed a new MAC protocol and implemented it in NS3 in colloboration with LG Korea.

As a Senior software engineering in Samsung Research India-Bangalore

  • Developed Camera Application Eraser for Samsung galaxy s4.

  • Developed application for game to play between Samsung devices over Wi-Fi.

  • Android Application and framework development for the Samsung Mobiles for Samsung galaxy tab 10.1

  • Visited South Korea for development and modification of Wi-Fi framework and supplicant (19th Aug to 16th Nov 2012) for Samsung galaxy s3 and note 2.

  • Visited South Korea for development and modification of Wi-Fi framework and supplicant (10th March to 7th June 2013) for Samsung galaxy s4 and note 3.

  • Implemented WPS PIN and PBC in hostapd and framework for Samsung Galaxy S5.

  • Visited South Korea for development of debug mode for wpa_supplicant (Oct 20th 2013), which saves authentication data based on the operator requirements.

  • Visited South Korea, Samsung HQ from 1st Feb 2014 to 6th April 2014 for Development of changing disconnection time and disabling roaming for specific set of access points, this requires changes in wpa_supplicant and driver.

  • Implemented new power saving algorithm for p2p in ns3.

  • Developed wifi easy connection application on top of android’s existing wifi settings application to auto connect with open AP’s.

  • Working on Android Application development, a camera app for Sony mobiles.

  • Network traffic analyzer and cutoff of network selection based on MAC address and usage guidance set by operator for LAN under the guidance of Dr. Roohie Naaj (Head of Department, Information Technology, NIT Srinagar)

  • Steganography, hiding data file in Image file and performance analysis of the Algorithm under the guidance of Mr. Shabir Ahmad Sofi.

Research as intern at MedSphere Technologies Bangalore

  • Developed Multi-threaded chat server which uses thread pool to avoid creating new threads at the time of new user chat request, it reduces chat instantiation time and gives efficient memory management.
