About me

Current role

I am a Teaching Fellow in Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

Data science

I have experience in data science and I am particularly interested by explainable methods. Recently I have been thinking about automated dimensionality reduction, particularly taking ideas from machine vision, making abstractions of them, and comparing them to more standard probabilistic methods.

Pure mathematics

My research is mostly about the abelian functor categories which arise from the model theory of modules. My current work is about the infinitary model theory of modules, and the duals of accessible functors which arise from this.
