I am now research inactive, having gone into teaching. I actually quite like that mathematics has turned into an occasional hobby. My interest has always been in additive categories and functors. My biggest weakness is that I couldn't fall in love with triangulated categories.
My favourite number is 16 because 24=42. The reason this is unique is related to the smallness of e.
My second favourite number is the cosine of 20 degrees. Its minimum polynomial is a cubic, which proves that one cannot trisect all angles.
