Profile

Originally from Rosario, Argentina, Sergio commenced his studies in composition at the National University of Rosario in 1982. His musical journey took flight when he recorded his inaugural piece, 'Imágenes prohibidas,' alongside the rock group "Agnes Secreto" in 1988.

Embracing triumph with the duo "Savia Nueva" alongside Adrian Lanese during the early 90s, Sergio

embarked on numerous collaborations as a producer, arranger, and performer.

Concurrently, he cultivated an extensive repertoire crafting musical compositions for advertising campaigns. In 1991, Sergio assumed the role of music director for the 'Ballet de arte Folklorico Argentino,' enabling him to tour extensively across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His musical prowess and

versatility allowed him to compose for orchestras while producing popular music and creating songs for fellow artists.

Since 2001, Sergio has resided in Madrid. In 2005, his notable contributions to cinema and TV paved his induction as a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of Music of Spain. Notably, in

2004, the ballad from the original soundtrack of the film 'In the Shadow of the Dreams' soared to the Spanish radio's top 40. This marked the commencement of a fruitful partnership with film director Emilio Ruiz Barrachina, culminating in Sergio composing the acclaimed soundtrack for the blockbuster documentary 'Lorca: the sea stops moving' in 2006. The film's global success, broadcast in over sixty countries, propelled the soundtrack to top iTunes charts sans major label support.

In subsequent years, Sergio crafted captivating soundtracks for various projects including the TV series 'The Business of Peace,' documentaries such as 'The Literary and Xacobea Traslatio,'

and 'The Girl soldiers.' Noteworthy compositions followed for documentaries like 'Orson Welles and Goya' and 'The Spain of the couplet,' the latter premiering successfully at the Malaga Film Festival in 2009. A pivotal moment in 2008 was Sergio's musical direction of 'The War of the Worlds' by Orson

Welles, broadcasted collectively by major radio stations in Spain in honor of Radio Day. Culminating that year, Sergio presented his fourth CD, 'Beyond the Imagination.'

In 2010, amidst various media endeavors, Sergio co-produced a Chillout album with violinist Tancredo. Their collaboration birthed the single 'Be You,' released by Deep Class in the USA.

This partnership evolved into 'Maltango,' leading to the release of their first EP, 'Maltango Vol I.' Further contributions included the original soundtrack for the 2013 film 'The Sale of Paradise.'

Sergio's recent endeavors encompass soundtracks for 'TransNazarin' (2015) and 'EL Violín de Piedra' (2015). In 2017 and 2018, he ventured into crafting two new soundtracks for forthcoming films

while recording 'Maltango Vol II.' The successful 'Women's Voices' project unfolded in 2017. In 2020, he launched 'Wall for All' and commenced composing 'Todo o Nada,' his upcoming album comprising original songs.

In 2022, in collaboration with actor Joaquin Notario, Sergio curated an intriguing show titled 'Borges Piazzolla y un poquito de Ferrer,' released on July 2. Currently in 2023, he focuses on

mastering and promoting "Todo o Nada." Additionally, as part of an initiative to engage his fans, the upcoming launch of the cycle TAKE ONE is set

for November 17th, where diverse singers will interpret his songs. Notably, 'Always You Feel My Love in You' was recorded between Buenos Aires and Madrid during this year. Mariana Rizzo, the soprano, delivers a beautiful ballad with profound lyrics in this upcoming release.
