What is the Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club?
The Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club is an organization that strives to create a competitive environment
for girls in and around the Sioux Falls area who want to improve their volleyball skills and broaden their experience.
What age groups can join the Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club?
8 teams were formed for the 2023 season (1-16s, 2-15s, 2-14s, 1-13s and 1-12s), for a total of 61 players!
For the 2024 season, we will look at advancing the skills of volleyball players ages 12U-17U!!
Why should my daughter join the Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club?
To build camaraderie and teamwork with likeminded, driven volleyball players from an early age.
The Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club is a cost-effective way to allow girls to play volleyball
in competitive regional tournaments. Sioux Falls West allows for multi-talented athletes which means
that players are able to participate in other activities during the club season (ie. basketball, track, choir, etc).
What differentiates Sioux Falls West Volleyball Club from other club programs?
SF West Volleyball is a non-profit organization in which our club dues are less than half the cost of some of the other club programs in the area, giving families a more affordable option for the competitive volleyball experience. We are able to keep our club dues low because of the following reasons:
Our Board Members are comprised of unpaid volunteers who are passionate about the sport of volleyball and the clubs continued success and growth.
Our club utilizes Sioux Falls School District school gym space for practices and clinics, which is free for us to use.
Our club obtains sponsorships and does fundraising throughout the year to help offset the cost to families. On average, we are able to charge families $700 LESS per player than our actual costs which include coaches pay, tournament fees, insurance, equipment and more.
SF West Volleyball allows for multi-talented athletes which means that players are able to participate in other activities during the club season (ie. basketball, track, choir, etc).
SF West Volleyball teams are kept to 8-9 players each, which allows the girls to maximize their playing time and increase their repetitions. Team selections are done solely by coaches; board members do not have input into selections nor are their players guaranteed a spot on a team.
