Mentorship is one of the most rewarding and meaningful parts of my academic career. I believe in building long-term relationships with students and research assistants—supporting them as they grow into independent thinkers, researchers, and professionals. Whether it's through one-on-one guidance, collaborative work, or informal conversations about careers and life in academia, I strive to be an encouraging and honest mentor.
I take a hands-on approach with students and RAs: helping them build research skills, prepare for graduate school, and refine their academic goals. I am proud that many of my mentees have gone on to pursue PhDs in economics and related disciplines, and I continue to support them well beyond their time working with me.
I have a strong interest in mentoring students from Vietnam, particularly those considering careers in research or academia. I am open to supporting students at various stages—undergraduates, master’s students, and early-career researchers. Please feel free to reach out if you're interested in discussing mentorship, research opportunities, or graduate study.
