Stella (Stefania) Wendt

Stella (born Stefania) was Valentine and Bernice’s oldest daughter, following Gustaw and Frank. She was born in approximately 1903, probably in Poland. She appears on the 1904 ship passenger list for the trans-atlantic voyage to Canada and also on the 1909 trans-atlantic voyage to New York. She married Harry Wendt in approximately 1919. They lived in Chicago and later central Florida.

Stella and Harry’s household was recorded in the 1930 U.S. census on April 12 of that year. They are reported as living on the north side of Chicago at that time, consistent with recollections.
