A tribute to S.I. !Gobs(1945-1985)

Born on 31 December 1945, Simson Immanuel Nama Madawa !Gobs qualified as a teacher at the Augustineum Training College in 1966. As teacher, businessman, politician, traditional leader, and human rights activist, one of his biggest dreams was realized wtih the opening of a secondary school in his hometown, Omaruru. Named after this great man of his time, S.I. !Gobs Senior Secondary School opened its doors in January 1987. He died a suspicious and untimely death on the 4th of May 1985 near Okombahe, Namibia.
