The Royal Ballet presents two Company premieres by Spanish/British choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot. This stirring mixed programme marks the first time a British company performs the work of the acclaimed contemporary choreographic duo.
Shoot the Moon, celebrating its 20th anniversary, explores relationships and the solitude that lies within them. The work is scored by Philip Glass's shifting tonal melodies within his Tirol Concerto.
Salle de Dance, originally choreographed as a film by Lightfoot during the pandemic in homage to the balletic art form, will now be recreated by the duo as a world premiere for the Company.

With virtuosic coloratura passages and ethereal, otherworldly arias, Bellini’s score imbues I puritani with profound emotional depth, the opera exploring, in equal parts, the tenderness of true love and the shattering anguish of loss.
