What does Shoebox Theatre do? 
Act, tell stories, devise plays, make short films.
  We can provide drama activities for any age group or age mix
in your school or community group;  
residential and day care

Like to join us? Contact us, or just turn up on a Friday evening. 
You will be made welcome.
Open to young people from age 13 and adults with no upper age limit.
Younger children welcome if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. 
Every Friday 7.00pm & finish at 8.45pm

  • Public fundraising at STARTMart Shoebox will be at STARTMart , promoting our community drama activities and and raising funds, with craft items and other low-cost Xmas stocking fillers. The Game of Thrones actor Margaret Jackman will be signing autographs for GOT enthusiasts and collectors. Autographs, including photos: £5 (that is half the price of Comicon signings) & a donation for 'selfies' - all proceeds to Shoebox Theatre.St Editha's Community Hall in College Street Saturday 25th Nov, 16th & 23rd Dec  10am - 3pmTell your G.O.T. friends!

  • Lunch, raffle, play-reading afternoon Our next small scale fund-raiser will be on Thursday 14th December. Lunch from 12.30,  minimum donation to Shoebox Theatre £3; small raffle £1 a ticket. Venue in Tamworth  near the town centre. Please email us mail@shoeboxtheatre.co.uk for  details if you are coming and let us know about dietary requirements.

  • Schools workshops: Shoebox in the Black Country On July 12th, four practitioners, Marlene, Susannah, Margaret & Adam led workshops for the whole of Year 10 (ages 14/15) at Dormston Secondary School in Sedgley in an action packed Forum Theatre  presentation on conflict resolution. Several brave pupils put themselves and their improvised scenarios forward to act out scenes which were escalating into conflict, and their audience of fellow pupils called out "Stop!" every time someone saw a way to cool the atmosphere. They came up with some great solutions: "Don't wag your finger like that - it's aggressive" was one, but there were lots more ways suggested to ease the tension in tricky, potentially explosive situations.  We had a great time, and from the pupils' liveliness and ...
