What does Shoebox Theatre do? 
Act, tell stories, devise plays, make short films, have fun!
  We can provide drama activities for any age group or age mix
in your school or community group;  
residential and day care

Open to young people from age 13 and adults with no upper age limit.
Younger children welcome if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

  • We will be popping up at TameFest Sunday June 24th More details here. And this below is how to get there. Click on the map to enlarge it. We will have a stall of dressed dolls, teddies and small mascots to help raise money for our community work, and our Merry Men will be popping up in the crowd.

  • Our next lunch & play-reading event will be on Tuesday July All welcome! Bring a friend. This is a chance to relax, meet new people and have a chat with a small, friendly group in a pleasant setting. After a light buffet lunch we read a play together, or sit and listen - your choice.  The next one will be on Tuesday July and the play is a comedy. Lunch from 12.30,  minimum donation to Shoebox Theatre £3; small raffle £1 a ticket. Venue: Community Room, Mercia Community Fire Station, Lichfield St., Tamworth. Please email us for further  details and to tell us if you are coming and let us know about dietary requirements.   • Summer Open Air Events & Coming in September! Going, Going, Gone! Our next Whodunnit? Summer Months We will be out and about at open-air events. Look out for us across Tamworth and other nearby places with our craft and promotional stall. Also entertaining with  Robin Hood  a mummers play, and costumed characters.September Performance  For our next mystery Going, Going Gone! we are dispensing with dead bodies  but there is still a mystery to be unravelled by the audience. A motley group of the curious and the determined gather for an auction of effects at a small stately home. Among the items under the hammer is an early self-portrait of the celebrated artist J.W.
