Welcome to My Homepage!

Who am I?

I am Mohammad Shirazi (محمد شیرازی). I obtained my Ph.D. degree, under the supervision of Dr. Eric Schippers, from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, in 2020.

I am currently a Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Georgia State university, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Before joining GSU,  I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Mathematics and Statistics Department, Reed College, Portland, Oregon, USA.

I was a Postdoctoral Researcher, under the financial support (and partially supervision) of Dr. D. Jakobson at McGill University in Montréal. A big part of my research at McGill was in collaboration with (and supervised by) Dr.  P.  M.  Gauthier from Université de Montréal, and Dr. J. Mashreghi from Laval University.

Other than research in Mathematics, I love teaching mathematics, in all levels!

I am very eager to know and implement new methods of teaching mathematics in my courses.

Finally, other than Mathematics, I am an amateur history, philosophy and literature reader.

See my curriculum vitae.

Education

Ph.D. Pure Mathematics, Complex Analysis and Riemann Surfaces, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I was honored to be supervised by Dr. E. Schippers. (2015-2020)

M.Sc. Pure Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. My supervisor was Dr. Seyyed Mansour Vaezpour. (2011-2013)
