Shipra Rani Sarker received her MSc degree in Botany with Post Graduation Thesis under supervision of Dr. Monzur Hossain (University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh) from University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi (Bangladesh). During her MS, she evaluated the effects of incubation period, preculture treatment and acetosyringone concentration on Agrobacterium mediated transformation efficiency in two popular potato cultivars of Bangladesh. She worked as an M Phill research fellow in the Plant Genetic Resources Laboratory of Rajshahi University (Rajshahi, Bangladesh). In November, 2010, she joined as a PhD student in the department of MtransformatioMtranMoandMMtransformaMolecular Biology, Genetics and Biochemistry, Astrakhan State University (Astrakhan, Russia). Her main research area is Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biodiversity and Conservation. In 2009, she selected for the Chinese government Scholarship and in 2010 she received the Russian Government Scholarship. She has scored 6.5 for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) in 2010.

She has participated in several national and international conferences funded by the Bangladesh government. She has already worked in different fields of research with experiences of the laboratory equipments and experiments such as Molecular Biology, Plant Genetic Resources, Plant Breeding and Gene Engineering and Crop Physiology. With ongoing her research career, she has gathered teaching experience while working as a teacher in North Point School (Govt. Approved & Registered under University of Cambridge, Sagarpara, Rajshahi, Bangladesh) from 2007 to 2008.
