August 2025 – Present | KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden
Research Area: Learning and Optimisation (Area 5), led by Prof. Carlo Fischione.
SweWIN is a collaborative research centre focused on advancing next-generation wireless technologies. My research activities focus on distributed learning, intelligent resource management, and optimization for future wireless networks.
Funding: Vinnova and participating academic and industrial partners.
November 2023 – July 2025 | CNIT, Italy
Project: Satellite and Terrestrial Access for Distributed, Ubiquitous, and Smart Telecommunications.
My research focused on the integration of Open Radio Access Networks (O-RAN) with non-terrestrial networks, particularly exploring intelligent network function placement and the use of machine learning for distributed RAN operations across satellite–terrestrial computing infrastructures.
Funding: Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), under the European Union's Horizon Europe programme.
November 2023 – July 2025 | CNIT, Italy
Project: Joint Communication and Edge Computing Load Balancing for Satellite Networks.
My research involved developing simulation frameworks and reinforcement learning-based approaches for resource management, computational offloading, and load balancing across satellite-enabled edge–cloud computing infrastructures.
Funding: European Space Agency (ESA).
