My broad areas of specialization are Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory,  Combinatorics, Computer Programming (C, C++, VC++, VB, MATLAB, Python, Sage Math, HTML, etc), Data Structures and Algorithms, Theory of Computation / Automata, Theoretical Computer Science, etc.

My present research interests include Chemical Graph Theory, Mathematical Chemistry, Graph (Matching) Algorithms, String Matching (Approximate & Parameterized String Matching Algorithms), Data Structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms & Combinatorics.

Apart from my research work and several academic duties, I take a lot of interest in Swimming, flying Kites, doing Yoga, reading Spiritual books, listening soft music, photography, attending seminars and cultural programs, etc. In fact,  "I Love What I Do and Do What I Love"!

Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow in a SERB Project

Applications are invited for ONE post of Junior Research Fellow as per Fellowship and Qualification mentioned below in a Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB, a statutory body of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India) sponsored project entitled “Comparative Study of Topological Descriptors Among Some Well-known Antiviral Drugs Used for the Treatment of Covid-19 Patients” (Project Code No.: P-07/1294) sanctioned for a duration of 03 years. The project has been started since February, 2023. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (as approved by the Funding Agency) for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- + HRA (as approved by the funding agency) for the third year.  

Essential Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Application or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks (equivalent grade), and valid GATE/NET-LS/JRF or equivalent as per the specifications of the funding agency.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience: Preference will be given to candidates having sound knowledge in Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, Chemical Graph Theory. Strong Computer Programming (with MATLAB and Python) and statistical analysis skills are also desirable.

Upper Age Limit: 28 years (5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST/Physically Challenged/Female candidates).

All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Note: There is a provision for the selected candidate to enroll in the Ph.D. program at the department, as per the University policy.
