I am presently employed as a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of BRAC University. Earlier, in 2013 I obtained my PhD in Mathematics (specializing in mathematical physics) from Concordia university, Montreal under the supervision of late professor Syed Twareque Ali. Later, I obtained my Postdoc from Chern Institute of Mathematics . Then I went on to join INSPEM, UPM, Malaysia as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow where I worked until March, 2017. Then I returned back to Bangladesh to join the Physics Department of Dhaka University. I joined the department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of BRAC University as an Associate Professor in March, 2020 with an extraordinary leave from Dhaka University. In April, 2021 I was promoted to the rank of Professor in BRAC University. My research interests lie in various fields of mathematical physics; e.g. representation theory of Lie groups, quantum groups, deformation quantization, symplectic geometry and noncommutative geometry.
