As a conflict and dispute professional, communicating clearly is probably the most important skill you have in your toolkit. For me, the difference in a graduate educated conflict professional and someone with a 40-hour mediation training is their ability to conduct library and field based research and write about that research clearly. I put this page information together from my experiences working with students over the last few years to help with common areas of difficulty in research and writing. We are fortunate to have wonderful resources to help with almost all of these issues, so I don't have to write too much just get you to places where that information is housed. Most of what comes after are links. If you are a current student, please download the word processing tips and stylistic guide .pdfs at the bottom of the page and use them as a guide for your papers.
