About Shawn

Shawn's Trumpet Career

Shawn Shearer has had a long and diverse career as a trumpet player and instructor. She has had the opportunity to play with some of the best musicians in the business, including the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Boise Philharmonic, Olympic Marching Band, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Boise State University Faculty Brass Quintet. Her motto is that there can never be enough music in the world, and for that to happen the world needs great musicians. She thoroughly enjoys passing along her knowledge to budding trumpet and brass players.

Shawn currently performs with the Art City Brass Quintet, the Utah Valley Symphony, and Gabriel Trumpets. She teaches Band and English Composition at American Preparatory Academy.
