As a researcher and an instructor, it's important to me that I help support my students in their learning goals. Since psychology and close relationships are all around us, I frequently draw from topics and events that are currently trending. I also like to encourage my students to apply the concepts we learn and discuss in class to their past and current experiences. This helps students engage more deeply with the material because it illustrates the relevance and real-world applications of the theories and techniques they learn in my courses.
