My name is Shanti Swaroop Kandala.
I am currently working as a Project Development and Modeling Engineer at GreenFire Energy. Prior to this, I was a postdoc with Dr. Roman Shor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada.
I graduated with a Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Chandrika Prakash Vyasarayani, in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH), Hyderabad, India. My Ph.D. research focused on studying the dynamics and control of time-delayed systems. Before this, I was the team-lead for the maiden student satellite project of the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH).
Prior to my Doctoral Studies, I was a part of the Young India Fellowship Programme, a one year Post Graduate Programme in Liberal Arts at Ashoka University in collaboration with the School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Pennsylvania in New Delhi, India. I received my Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea. I received my Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH).
Research interests: Control systems, Robotics, Biomechanics, Optimization, Mathematical modelling, Stability and stabilization of time-delayed systems, Non-linear dynamics
