I am a Principal Inventive Scientist at AT&T Labs - Research (Shannon Labs), where I develop cutting-edge technologies that assist deployment, orchestration and management of network elements (and services) in federated, massive global scale networks. My research interests are in the areas of Computer Networks, Mobile Systems, Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing, with many of my works explicitly bridging these areas of research. I'm also active in high impact open source efforts like ONAP where I have served as the Project Technical Lead for the Optimization Framework Project, incubating and delivering 5 successful releases of the project.

More recently, I have been working on virtualization of the RAN with the goal of improving compute and energy efficiency. In particular, I'm interested in improving the interactions between the RAN software, cloud platform and the compute hardware including accelerators, which is a critical for the virtualized RAN disaggregation. I'm also interested in leveraging virtualization to enable baseband pooling that improves utilization in a cloudified environment.

I'm very fortunate to be working with many talented students. I'm always on the lookout for motivated PhD students who are interested in any of the above areas of research. If you are interested in working with me, please reach out via email with your CV and a brief research statement. We are also actively looking to hire for full time positions in our group!
