Wethersfield are our closest neighbours and a delight to play. Their home advantage is slightly enhanced as they play Short Mat Bowls. Undeterred, we ventured forth and lost seven of the ten games winning two and managing to draw a third. It will be our advantage when they come to us and play carpet bowls. Although, they always give a good account of themselves, perhaps there is something to their Short Mat game.

We had a high old time, plenty of banter, lovely food and a raffle that went on for ages.
