Dr. SHAJEEMOHAN B. S. is an Associate Professor in Applied  Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Department, Government Engineering College, Kozhikode since June 2009. He is also Dean Academic (UG), of GEC Kozhikode. Prior to this transfer he was working in ECE Dept.,  Govt. College of Engineering, Kannur, Kerala and was the Head of Department of CSE. He took his B-Tech from College of Engineering, Thiruvanathapuram in the year 1989 and took his M Tech from V.T.U. in the year 2000. He took hid Ph.D from Computer Science and Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has been working in various premier engineering institutions in Kerala since 1991. He was the Head , Computer Science and Engineering, LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod,  during 2001- 2006. He was also Head, AE&I department, GEC Kozhikode during 2013-15. Currently he is the nominated member, Faculty of Engineering, Kannur University. He was also Chairman, Board of examiners for M.Tech (Digital Signal Processing, Signal Processing programmes ) of Calicut University and member Board of Studies (Engineering) Calicut University. Currently he is the Chairman M.Tech (EC), Calicut cluster, KTU. He had presented papers in many National and International conferences in india and Abroad. He won the best paper of the session award in the International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication (ADCOM 2006) held at NIT Surathkal in December 2006. He also the received best paper award in the international conference on Intelligent Systems and Image Processing- ICISIP-2014, Nishnippon Institute of Technology, Kitakyushu, Japan. He received the best paper of the year 2015 award International Journal of Industrial and Instrumentation Engineers Japan. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and CSI. His research interests are in Machine learning, Kernel methods, Distance Metric Learning, Speech Processing, Data Compression Algorithms.
