As a biologist, I have always wanted to develop skills in both experimental work and data analysis. Experimental work reveals how science functions and provides insights into underlying mechanisms, while data analysis, particularly of sequencing data, helps us advance our experimental efforts and gain deeper insights. My research employed an integrated approach, utilizing both experimental and sequence data analyses to explore under-researched areas in evolutionary biology, with a particular focus on the evolution of microbial eukaryotes and their organelles.
An evolutionary cell biologist. My research aims to explicate the evolution of eukaryotes and microbial interactions through single-cell omics and phylogenetic reconstruction.
Molecular biology and sequence data analysis expert with nearly 14 years of experience and an established record of clear scientific contribution to evolutionary cell biology research.
Skills in microscopy and omics data—including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
Phylogeny and species delineation of microbial eukaryotes using transcriptomic and genomic data analyses.
Platforms: Python scripting, Linux command line, cloud/server computing
Experienced as a teaching and research assistant and have participated in many workshops to teach basic bioinformatics and phylogenetic analysis.
Besides my research work, I like to travel and play football and badminton.
