About us

School often plays an important role in shaping one’s life and to be associated with the school is often a matter of pride for any individual. But after passing out from the school it does not take long to realize that it's pretty difficult to stay connected with old friends and teachers when one is busy taking on the world. Sahoday, the alumni association of St. Francis De Sales School has been trying to play the important role of keeping the ex-students connected with each other and with the school year after year. It organizes an alumni meet on the second Saturday of February every year wherein the ex-students are able to meet not only their old batch mates, but also the teachers who nurtured them during their years of development.

Keeping the ex-students connected with each other and with the school is only one of the various roles which Sahoday plays as an association. As a socially responsible association, Sahoday takes pride in organizing a Health Check cum Blood Donation camp on the day of Parent Teacher Meeting in the month of August every year.

To encourage the brilliant students of the school who are the future members of this association, Sahoday sponsors one prize each in the boys and girls category for 6th – 12th classes during the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony. It also tries to support its future members by organizing Career Counseling sessions for the students of Class X during the months of September to December.

Sahoday also allocates a certain amount from its funds every year for paying the school fees of children whose families have been hit by untoward incidents that made them financially incapable of paying the school fees.

Last but the most awaited event of the year is the Jam session which is organized by Sahoday on the day of Bal Mela. The popularity of this event has been increasing year after year and if one is asked to name one event through which Sahoday is known by the students of the school, it would probably be the Jam session.

An elected Executive committee and Working team comprising of ex-students from various batches take care of the functioning of Sahoday.
